6 Hacks to Packing Your Bags for a Resort Weekend

Let’s face it. Life is stressful sometimes, and it’s good to get away when you can. Kids, work, school and home life can wear you down, and if you don’t find time to get out and leave all that stuff behind for at least a few days, it can pile up and leave you with serious anxiety and even depression.

That’s why taking a resort weekend for yourself whenever you can is a great idea. And whether you’re planning a trip to a resort for a weekend with your sweetheart, your family or a group of friends, you’ll be sure to have a great time if you know how to pack correctly. Without further ado, here are six hacks for packing the perfect weekend getaway back for your trip to a lovely resort!

1. Roll your clothes instead of folding them.

Instead of folding your clothes, try rolling them to save space in your suitcase or carry-on bag. It can also help most of your clothes stay wrinkle-free while you’re on the move.

2. Bring an e-reader instead of individual books.

If you plan on doing some reading on your resort weekend getaway, forget the real books, and invest in an e-reader. You can put tons of books on one small device.

3. Put all liquids in small, well-contained packaging.

When packing for a big trip, you’ll need to take some toiletries, but you don’t want to risk them breaking open in your bag and getting everything wet and sticky while you’re traveling. For this reason, always use secure containers, and put plastic bags around everything just in case.

4. Check the weather at the resort ahead of time.

Don’t simply assume that it’s going to be warm or cold wherever you’re going. Do your homework, and check the weather before you pack so that you can be sure you’re bringing the right clothing.

5. Pack in layers.

With that being said, sometimes the weather report is wrong, and you don’t want to have all shorts and T-shirts if it ends up being rainy and cold wherever you’re going. For this reason, always pack in layers that you can put on and take off whenever you need to.

6. Pack with a friend or family member

Finally, if you can only take one bag on the plane or have limited space in the car, consider packing with a friend. You can even share toiletries, like toothpaste, shampoo and body wash. If you’re the same size, you can even share closing!

By using all six of these amazing hacks, you’ll be sure to be super ready for your upcoming resort weekend!
